I undertake professional thatching work in all aspects of thatching on all types of building. From new thatch to minor repair on cottage to outbuilding, I have worked on all of them. Because of the construction of traditional thatching, I am also able to provide turf roofs. This the usual underlay for a thatched roof.
Because of my experience in restoring ruins and new thatch projects, I understand the planning process, from grants to planning permissions. I can draw up plans for planning and building warrants.
As a thatcher, I am involved in all aspects of the project. I don't employ an anonymous gang of labourers. If I am working on a thatching project, it's me who is up the ladder or at the end of the telephone. Every project is different and requires individual attention. That individual is me.
